Personal vices often serve as temporary respites from reality, providing comfort or a momentary high. Growing up in a church environment, I've witnessed individuals turning to religion and the church seeking solace. Some return regularly, while others only seek refuge when in need of emotional upliftment. Similarly, sex and drugs can act as avenues for escaping reality, a pattern I've also succumbed to in the past, using them to numb my pain and evade the heaviness of the world's burdens.
